Vidikron Displays Newly Styled Vision Series

Sleeker, Slightly Smaller HDTV-Ready Vision One, Two And Three CRT Projectors Shown In Red, White And Blue Editions

19-Jan-01

Vidikron of America, the world leader in high performance video projectors and support components, displayed newly styled editions of its award-winning, HDTV-compatible Vision Series CRT Projectors at the 2001 International Consumer Electronics Show. The Vision One, Vision Two and Vision Three Projectors are slightly smaller, sleeker and more streamlined than earlier versions, and were shown at CES in special newly styled colors, including red, white and blue. Of special note to custom installers, the new design uses fewer panels, enhancing the fit and finish and making the projectors easier to work with during installation. Naturally, Vidikronís flagship line is about much more than style, as indicated by the Vision Three's recent designation as a Platinum Award winner of Stereophile Guide To Home Theater's Editor's Choice Awards for 2001. The magazine cited not only the Vision Three's ""sophisticated"" performance, but the quality of Vidikron's ""wide dealer support"" in making the award. The flagship Vision One received a Best Of 2000 Award by the online A/V news source AudioRevolution.com. The Vision One employs a host of technical breakthroughs to provide viewers with extremely bright, clear, distortion-free pictures, regardless of aspect ratio, picture size or mounting considerations. Designed for use with ultra-high performance video line doublers and quadruplers, and by consumers seeking the best in image quality, the Vision One is equally at home displaying high resolution video or computer images. Among its notable features are Scheimpflug-design lens adjustments, which assure perfect corner-to-corner picture focus, and a nine-zone electronic color correction system that delivers amazing picture sharpness and balance from extra large, liquid-coupled 9-inch color tubes and f/1.1 lenses. Other advances include active blanking for each edge of the picture, which assures an exact fit of the picture to the screen without fringing or overscan, computer-controlled screen size and aspect ratio setups, which are stored in non-volatile memory, and a computer-controlled, 45-zone automatic convergence alignment that delivers perfect picture registration for all three color tubes. The Vision Two shares many of the Vision Oneís features, including Scheimpflug-design lens adjustments, automatic contrast modulation, complete ""gamma"" correction and electronic geometry circuits to assure a perfect picture fit with all screens. Its 8-inch, electromagnetically-focused color tubes produce dazzling, brilliant images with unfailing color. The Vision One, Vision Two and Vision Three are available now at suggested prices of $49,995, $31,995, and $24,995, respectively.
