IntelliNet Controls Now Offers Remote Control For The RS 1000 System

IntelliNet Controls Inc, has scheduled the release of its new IR Remote Control and Audio Keypad for February 15, 2001. Retailing at approximately $150, this optional IR Remote will be an accessory for the RS 1000 Whole-House Audio and Control System. As the newest addition to the family, the IR remote will allow remote controlled operation of all devices including audio, video, lighting and HVAC control all from the palm of your hand via the new Audio Keypad. The remote will know what function is playing from zone to zone and it will automatically adjust to the room and its functions.The RS 1000 system is the first whole-house audio and control system to utilize a standard Web browser for system installation and service. This Web-based interface is menu driven for system configuration, features and options. Changes made from the menus are received instantaneously and fine-tuning of the system can now be performed in real-time. This greatly simplifies the installation process (50-75 percent less time spent) and renders obsolete the current loading and re-loading programming requirements of the typical audio control system. In addition, the RS 1000 system can be configurable for a number of different features that include but are not limited to lighting, home theater, security and HVAC control with the touch of a button from a keypad or the web. The basic RS 1000 system is a complete six-zone, six audio inputs audio control system. The standard package includes the patented Control 2ô Processor, which is a controller/embedded computer with no moving parts except for relays, an Audio Matrixô preamplifier distributing up to six different stereo audio sources to six different listening zones per matrix, a Network Hubô providing diagnostic indicators for power and network wiring shorts and six ultra-thin Audio Keypads. The basic RS 1000 system retails at $4500.The system can be expanded up to 30 zones and optional components can be purchased separately to enhance the system. Such items include the patented MagicPadÆ programmable six button network keypad and the Relay Controller programmable output board that controls a variety of devices from curtains and screens to amplifier control. The system is also capable of controlling multi-zone doorbell and PA systems. Many more accessories are scheduled for release shortly after the remote is introduced including Web-based whole-house controls.
