Fosgate Audionics, a product development and engineering company recently acquired by Rockford Corporation, has announced the launch of four passive speakers and three powered subwoofers for home theatre and stereo applications. These new units are scheduled to begin shipping in March 2001. All four of the monitor speakers use impressive, 24dB/octave Linkwitz-Riley crossovers and have dual five-way binding posts for bi-wiring and bi-amplification. All four monitor speakers incorporate a silk dome high frequency driver and a high frequency wave-guide that is proprietary to Fosgate Audionics. All of the drivers have very large motor structures. These monitors are available in three finishes - maple, cherry and black ash. The Fosgate Audionics Monitor speaker line consists of the FA51.1 (5 1/4-inch two-way), the FA61.1 (6 1/2-inch two-way), the FA52.1 (5 1/4-inch DíAppolitto) and the FA62.1 (6 1/2-inch DíAppolitto). All Fosgate Audionics subwoofers have adjustable 24dB/octave crossovers and low-level RCA inputs. The current line consists of the FA8.1 (8-inch powered subwoofer with 200-watt Trans Ana amp), FA10.1 (10-inch powered subwoofer with 200-watt Trans Ana amp), and the FA12.1 (12-inch powered subwoofer with 200-watt Trans Ana amp). ""The Fosgate Audionics line of monitor speakers and powered subwoofers meet the quality, performance and cosmetic expectations that have always been attributed to the Fosgate Audionics name and make them a ëmust see and hearí for the discerning home audio enthusiast,"" explains David Munzlinger, National Sales Manager for Fosgate Audionics.
