Standard NTSC signals from sources such as a DVD player, DSS, VCR, hard disk recorder or cable are scaled to 1080i resolution for high definition displays. ATSC high definition is accommodated by one RF input on a second F-type connection. Both standard and high definition sources are output in high definition 1080i resolution via either component video (Y/Pb/Pr) from three RCA jacks or RGBHV on a VGA type 15-pin d-sub connection. An auxiliary input is provided for processing the two-channel audio from a VCR or DVD player. Audio from the ATSC signal is output via six RCA outputs in 5.1-channel or can be down-mixed to stereo for external amplification.The high definition 8-VSB demodulated ATSC tuner has been designed to facilitate reception from even the most difficult and problematic installations. Utilizing a state-of-the-art reception system, the HDT-2000 can more reliably display signals when multi-path distortion or interference is prevalent. For applications where an indoor antenna is necessary or where treetops and other buildings obstruct line-of-sight transmission of on-air station broadcasts, the tuner can better pull in and lock on these hard to display HD signals than other tuners in its class.The receiverís on-screen display and remote control offers a complete menu of features and allows easy setup and usage. A freeze frame and nine-quadrant zoom feature bring viewers closer to any materialís action.
