Fisherís premier DVD-9203 three-disc DVD/CD changer offers DVD-Video, CD, CD-R and MP3 playback capability and a wide range of features certain to please home theatre enthusiasts. Two single-disc Fisher DVD-Video players with a similar feature array and multi-format playback have also been introduced at the 2001 International Consumer Electronics Show. The Fisher DVD-9203 ($249.99 suggested retail price, available in July) is an exceptionally capable centerpiece for most any home theatre system. Three DVDs or any combination of DVD-Video or CD discs can be played and conveniently controlled via an easy-to-use joystick remote. Home recorded CD-R discs, including discs with MP3 audio files can be readily played as easily as conventional DVDs and CDs. The DVD-9203ís unique joystick remote features TV control for optimum ease-of-use and system compatibility. An integrated DVD Management System provides a complete range of programming features. For realistic surround-like sound on non-surround program material, or for systems without a surround speaker setup, the DVD-9203ís Virtual 3D Sound feature capably approximates a surround experience via two-channel playback. DolbyÆ Digital capability (output must be routed to separate Dolby Digital decoder) helps take full advantage of the theatre-like surround sound capabilities of most DVD movies. The unit also offers DTSÆ Digital Surroundô out. Special ""Trick Play"" features including zoom, last memory, and picture mode enhance and personalize the DVD viewing experience. New single-disc Fisher DVD/CD player models, the DVD-9201 ($199.99 MSRP, available in June) and DVD-7201 ($199.99 MSRP, available in June) include many of the features found on the three-disc DVD-9203 (see feature list below). The DVD-9201 offers joystick remote control and component video output, features not found on the DVD-7201.
