New Kenwood SovereignÆ Line Focuses On Systems Integration And Performance Features

Kenwood USA Corp. announced its new brand of high performance home electronic products to its dealers at the International Consumer Electronics Show. Branded as Kenwood SovereignÆ, the line of products leverages the companyís success of the award-winning 4000 Series introduced in 2000, including the highly acclaimed VR-4900 and the worldís first five-disc DVD-Audio/Video combination players. Kenwood previewed new offerings to come by showing Kenwood-exclusive receiver technologies and features, unique products featuring traditional sources such as DVD, and entirely new product categories that will be available in the second half of 2001. ""The technology and business needs of the market are changing and Kenwood is meeting those changes head-on with the introduction of Kenwood Sovereign,"" said Bob Law, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. ""We look forward to unveiling the full line of Kenwood Sovereign products at our line show this spring."" Offering improved use of integration technologies, Kenwood is showing several Kenwood Sovereign A/V receivers, each equipped with state-of-the-art THXÆ Surround EXô, DTSÆ-ESô, DolbyÆ Pro Logic II, RS-232 connections for easy integration with Panja and Crestron, and HDTV-compatible component video inputs. Kenwood has also refined and upgraded exclusive technologies, including the highly praised Universal Video, new PowerTouch Controller software, and D.R.I.V.E.ô Distortion Reduction. Additional units within the Kenwood Sovereign family, including the complete 2001 lineup, will be presented during Kenwoodís annual home electronics line shows in April.
