Three new direct-view high definition television (HDTV) monitors from Zenith Electronics Corporation are included in the company's 2001 line of digital TV products.The Zenith Multimedia Series 27-, 32-, and 36-inch HDTV monitors were demonstrated for the first time at the 2001 Consumer Electronics Show.Flat-faced picture tubes are designed to deliver a brighter, clearer image, more vibrant color reproduction and reduced glare. The three multi-scan (31.5, 33.75 and 37.9kHz) HDTV monitors feature a 480p/line doubler, 600p SVGA, and 1080i resolution display. Each offers a velocity scan modulation and 3D Y/C digital comb filters.The models are complete with 31 total jacks including two sets component video and front/rear RGB 15-pin inputs. Also included is the Gemstar GuidePlus+ Goldô program guide, two PIP (Picture-in-Picture), caller ID and illuminated universal remote control.The 27-, 32- and 36-inch Zenith direct-view HDTV monitors will all be available in the second quarter of 2001 at expected prices ranging from $1,299 to $2,299.For more information about Zenith Electronics Corporation, visit www.zenith.com.
