Record Turnout Establishes Electronic House Expo As Leading Trade Event For The Connected Home

More Than 8,500 Connected Home Professionals Registered For Second Annual

The recent Electronic House Expo/Spring 2001 in Orlando, Florida drew connected home professionals from the southeastern U.S., across the country and abroad for a record-breaking, critically acclaimed, second annual four-day conference and expo. More than 4,000 attendees (up from 3,000 in 2000) assembled in Orlando's Orange County Convention Center, March 7-10, to experience the newest in connected home innovations by 125 industry leading exhibitors covering 60,000 square-feet of exhibit space, and to learn from the industry's most respected leaders in the workshops and conference training seminar program. ""This year's Electronic House Expo occupied 35 percent more exhibit space, registered 60 percent more qualified connected home professionals, and attracted 33 percent more attendees to the exhibit floor than in 2000,"" said John Galante, Vice President of EH Events & Education, the show's producers. ""The growth from 2000's inaugural Electronic House Expo has been phenomenal. It proves that Electronic House Expo fits the niche for whole-house connected home products and education, and has established itself as the leading trade event, and no doubt the fastest growing event, for the connected home."" Electronic House Expo's educational program - four full-day intensive workshops and 70 hour-long seminar sessions - many sold out - sold more than 3,400 tickets to attendees hungry to learn from the best of the best in the connected home Industry. Topics covered for both industry newcomers and seasonned professionals were residential networking, digital entertainment, home control, sales and marketing, power and Internet-""Homenet."" Keynotes, which were open to all Electronic House Expo attendees, presented by industry giants Home Director, Cisco Systems, Interlogix and SMART LLC, shared insights from all corners of the industry to standing room-only crowds. The next Electronic House Expo is scheduled for October 24-27, 2001 (conference program - exhibits are October 25-27), at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center in Long Beach, California, and will continue to offer cutting-edge topics and showcase the number one connected home exhibit floor. ""Fall's Electronic House Expo will address both regional issues such as energy management and the connected home, as well as the traditional elements of the connected home, such as power, control networking and entertainment.
