MeTV Network, Inc., a leader in the streaming entertainment industry announced the addition of premium Hollywood content from Jetcast, the world's leading wholesale distributor of well-branded entertainment content for Internet Protocol (IP) delivery on the MeTV Network. For the very first time, broadband Internet users can get full access to some of the latest blockbuster movies - on-demand and with full VCR functionality. ""We are very excited to have recently released movies like ëDrowning Monaí and ëBatsí"", said Jeff Pescatello, MeTV's CEO. ""It gives our customers exactly what they have been asking for. Finally Hollywood is realizing that there are additional revenues to be made out of this industry."" ""MeTV's innovative and user-friendly remote control allows end users to get out of the office/home office and into the living room. The full-length feature films Jetcast offers are so close to theatrical release we allow MeTV and broadband network owners to compete head to head with the incumbent cable operators"", said Michael Dutcher, Jetcast Senior Vice President. In addition, MeTV has also acquired further Hollywood titles, starring the likes of Steve McQueen, Danny DiVito, Bette Midler and more. This is adding to an already significant content library of movies, music, sports, TV programming and trailers available on the MeTV service. ""MeTV provides a technology solution that enables Jetcast to deliver our extensive library of content to a much broader audience, in the traditional setting end users feel most comfortable, playing on television sitting in their favorite easy chair."" said John Williams, CEO/President of Jetcast. This new content will be offered as pay-per-view titles, charging members a fee for a 24-hour ""MeTV Movie Ticket"". The Movie Ticket grants access to the title for unlimited viewing for a finite duration. This gives the user the flexibility to watch content at a time and style that suits them, which is reflected in MeTV's motto: ""It's What You Want To Watch, When You Want To Watch Itô."" For video-on-demand to be successful, four criteria must be satisfied: - Technology that is robust and flexible - Broadband markets that are large enough - Delivery mechanisms that can cope with success - Compelling content that consumers will watch and pay for ""Today, we have completed the last hurdle"", said Martin French, MeTV's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. ""The search for the Holy Grail of video-on-demand is over. It has become a reality."" For more information about MeTV Network, Inc., visit www.metv.com.
