Tripath Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRPH), creators of Class-Tô digital audio amplifiers, announced that its Digital Power Processing (DPPô) technology has been adopted by audio equipment manufacturer AudioSource for use in selected new amplifiers. Tripathís Class-T digital amplifiers provide AudioSourceís Amp Seven T and its Amp Six Series with Class-A and Class-A/B level amplifier audio fidelity and Class-D level amplifier energy efficiency. At 200 watts per channel, bridgeable to 500 watts, AudioSourceís Amp Seven T produces high sound pressure levels and subtle details with accuracy and transparency. The Amp Six Seriesí improved power efficiency allows these smaller units to produce theatre-quality sound in a unique modular format that offers a level of flexibility and performance that other multi-zone audio systems cannot match. By offering audio performance at 0.02% THD and 90 percent power efficiency, Tripathís semiconductor-based products allow AudioSource and other manufacturers to create systems with sleek, innovative designs. Equipment makers like AudioSource are also turning to Tripath, which has shipped more than three million channels of Class-T amplifiers to date, because Digital Power Processing greatly reduces the power consumption, size and weight of their products, making possible new classes of product that were not possible with conventional Class A/B designs. ""Awareness of how true digital amplification allows listeners to get the most from digital media formats like DVD, CD and MP3 is on the rise, and consumer demand is not far behind. So when AudioSource decided to take advantage of this new technology, we naturally turned to Tripath because they are the clear leaders in digital amplification,"" said Norman Olson, President of AudioSource. ""AudioSourceís products offer unprecedented power, value and performance in their form factor. We are very pleased to put the Tripath name on their new amplifiers,"" said Neal Carney, Vice President of Marketing for Tripath.
