Apex Digital, Inc. Record Sales Reached

6-Apr-01

Apex Digital, manufacturers of DVD players and televisions sold throughout North America under the brand name Apex Digital, has achieved record sales. Figures are still coming in and numbers may reach a major milestone. According to Ancle Hsu, COO, about one-million units have been shipped in 2000, making for tremendous year-end sales reports. The company currently markets six DVD player models through mass merchants and specialty catalog retailers. Some ìhotî new feature models were unveiled at the CES in January this year. DVD players were one of the hottest selling choices by consumers throughout the year, and holiday purchases made the Apex Digital brand a ìtopî seller for 2000. Experts claim that 8.5 million DVD players were sold during 2000. The Apex numbers will grow faster as consumers realize the many benefits of price and features compared to other brands. Also movie studios are remastering older classics and the DVD disc choices are fast approaching the available selection of VHS/VCR titles. DVD is so much better to view and offers consumers special features not available on tape. A big plus is never having to rewind and DVD will last much longer than VHS, without wear and tear. The new 7701 coming in May will feature SACD and DVD-Audio, along with upgrade capability and progressive scan. Apex Digital has introduced a recordable DVD player, the T-1000 with two decks (one records on CD-R) from a television, camcorder, or DVD/VCD disc (if not encoded). Another model, VIDVD, connects to your television and gives you an internet browser. The company is also shipping new pure-flat televisions and will intro a new plasma set at an unprecedented price.
