Stewart Filmscreen welcomed Manufacturing Plant III to its production line. The inauguration was celebrated with a champagne christening of the new building with all of the California employees in attendance. This ceremony gave the company executives an opportunity to give special thanks to everyone for their contributions and patience in building Manufacturing Plant III.The need for building Plant III was spurred by the continuous growth of the company. In 1998, Stewart Filmscreen Corporation expanded the Torrance World Headquarters into an 11,000 square foot building and is currently planning further expansion.""Plant III is a major cog in our goal of reducing production lead times, while at the same time increasing quality"", states Grant Stewart, President of Stewart Filmscreen. The amount of product available to ship will increase significantly. The added capacity will enable Stewart to accelerate research and development of improved products for the rapidly evolving display technology market.
