Levitonís line of Industrial and Hospital Grade Surge Protective Receptacles now feature back and side wiring options for more flexible, speedy installation. The Decora-styled receptacles provide hard-wired, point-of-use surge protection for electronic equipment used on 15 and 20-amp, 125-volt branch circuits. They are AC Horsepower-rated from .5HP at 15A,125V AC to 2HP at 20A, 125V AC. Devices are available in Conventional Ground and Isolated Ground versions. Industrial Grade Duplex Receptacles (5280/5380 Series) are suitable for a wide range of industrial, commercial and residential applications. Hospital Grade (8280/8380 Series) duplex and single versions comply with stringent UL 498HG testing and are UL WC-596 certified, ensuring that they withstand the most demanding health care, industrial and commercial environments. The surge protective receptacles are also CSA certified.The MOV-based circuitry of the devices provides surge protection for normal and common modes (phase-neutral, phase-ground and neutral-ground). A green monitor/indicator LED is ON continuously when protection is active and OFF when the protection circuit is deactivated due to excessive transients. Hospital Grade devices also provide an audible tone alert that sounds if protection is lost. The devices meet ANSI/IEEE 62.41 standards for Category A and B environments and are UL 1449 (2nd Edition) listed. They are backed by Levitonís Limited Ten-Year Warranty. Both Industrial Grade and Hospital Grade devices are available with matching wall plates. The Decora designer styling of the devices complements any interior.
