The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) announced that renowned rhythm & blues music singer Bonnie Raitt and her band will perform for CEDIA EXPO 2001 attendees immediately following the annual presentation of CEDIA's Electronic Lifestyles Awards on Saturday, September 8. All concert proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.In an effort to allow more EXPO attendees to experience the awards ceremony and to encourage a lively, fun atmosphere, CEDIA's board of directors recently decided to replace the banquet dinner portion of the awards ceremony with live entertainment. In addition to a performance by Raitt, The John Cleary Band is also scheduled to entertain prior to the presentation of the awards.""Not only does the concert support a good cause, the new program lineup will provide a more conducive environment for fun and networking,"" said Billilynne Keller, Executive Director.
