Nine Inch Nails To Release Live DVD

14-Jun-01

Nine Inch Nails main-man Trent Reznor has compiled a live concert video drawn from the band's ""Fragility Tour,"" Rolling Stone reports. The DVD and VHS, which currently has no title, will be issued with a companion music CD. Originally, Reznor had hired a professional film crew to document the shows, but the results were too slick for his liking. ""The end result (was) ... a Bon Jovi HBO-looking special, with sweeping cameras; there's always something that missed the mark,"" Reznor told Rolling Stone. Instead, the video will be made up of hand-held video shot by crew members and friends, a strategy similar to the one taken by Pearl Jam on their recent concert DVD. The audio mix will be available in surround sound, but there won't be any of the backstage footage included in many tour videos, Reznor told Rolling Stone. Beyond saying the results will be released ""this year,"" there was no indication of when the project would make it to shelves.
