Image Entertainment Announces August 28 All-Format release Of ìRandy Travis Live: It Was Just A Matter Of Timeî

DVD, Videocassette and Compact Disc available day-and-date DVD-Audio to be included free with initial shipments of DVD

(NASDAQ: DISK), a leading licensee and distributor of DVD programming in North America, today announced the August 28 release of ìRandy Travis Live: It Was Just a Matter of Timeî on DVD, videocassette, compact disc and audio cassette. The newest audio technology, DVD-Audio, will be packaged free of charge with the regular DVD release of the concert. The event was filmed on December 14, 2000 at the Sun Theater in Anaheim, CA.Randy Travis, the internationally known Country superstar won his first talent competition at the age of sixteen and never looked back. His career spans two decades and includes 15 #1 singles, sold-out concert tours, multi-platinum album sales and numerous industry awards. Travisís acting credits are equally impressive, on film and television; his appearances include ìThe Rainmaker,î ìYoung Guns,î ìBlack Dog,î ìMatlockî and ìTouched By An Angel.î Randyís latest motion picture, ìTexas Rangerî from Miramax/Dimension, is slated for release this year and he is currently working on a new film project with Eric Roberts.The DVD will feature a 16 X 9 enhanced widescreen transfer, DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 multichannel audio, a video interview, bonus song and a special tribute from former president, George Bush. Included with the first-pressing of the DVD will be a DVD-Audio of the concert which features high-resolution stereo, high-resolution six-channel surround and Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks.The compact disc, like the DVD-Audio, will feature 25 songs, including such Randy Travis favorites as ìForever and Ever, Amen,î ìBetter Class of Losers,î ìOn the Other Handî and ìMatter of Time.î Randyís current single, ìBaptism,î is also featured on the release. The compact disc and DVD-Audio releases were engineered by Grammy Award-winner Bill Schnee (Steely Danís Aja and Gaucho).
