InoTech Develops 3-D DVD Process

InoTech Inc., the pioneer developer in motion simulation technology announced the development of the 2D/3DVD process.Julian Angus, President and co-founder of InoTech Inc. said, ""We are thrilled to be the first company to offer true 100 percent 3-D digital imaging, sound, show and motion control in DVD format."" Angus added, ""This process is so precise that it allows theaters to intermix 2-D and 3-D formats without the need to remove the polarized glasses"".""For the past two years, InoTech has been converting motion theatres at a high rate,"" said Annette Preston, Vice President and co-founder of InoTech Inc. ""We made a decision to slow down our conversion schedule this year and take time to finalize the development of what we classified as '2D/3DVD process.'""Preston added, ""Theatre operators have expressed their frustration over the high cost of films, lack of service from original manufacturers, the constant problems and the high cost of film projector maintenance. This new system replaces the projection equipment without compromising high quality imaging. The existing amplifier and speaker system is retained.""To accomplish this endeavor, InoTech assembled a team of the best companies in their specific field of expertise: Sony DVD, NEC Technologies, Pioneer New Media Technologies Inc., Faroudja Laboratories, and nWave Pictures.On Friday, June 1, 2001, the Dynamic Motion Theater at Boomtown Hotel and Casino in Verdi, Nevada became the first 2D/3DVD venue in the world.
