Pioneer expands its family of home theatre systems with the introduction of five new complete packages, three that include a DVD-Video player. These additions to the lineup of home-theatre-in-a-box products allow consumers a greater choice to fit their home entertainment needs. The new systems include: - HTS 910DV - a sleek, slim, component design system including DVD player, digital receiver, and surround speakers, available in October at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $1,500. - HTZ 77DV - DVD-Video player, digital receiver, and surround speakers with a compact, independent display, available in August at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $865. - HTD 510DV - digital receiver with integrated five-disc DVD/CD changer and surround speakers, available now at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $620. - HTP-710 - a high quality digital receiver, surround speakers and a smart remote, available in July at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $800. - HTP-210 - a high quality digital receiver, surround speakers and a pre-programmed remote, available now at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $500. Each configuration takes into consideration four key components of a state of the art home theatre system: space, design aesthetics, performance, and integration of ergonomic ease of use. ""Our new home theatre systems combine performance with style,"" said Matthew Dever, Vice President of Marketing and Product Planning, for Pioneer Home Entertainment. ""The different configurations being offered are easily set up and operated."" The HTS-910DV incorporates a slim design component setup consisting of the VSX-C300 A/V receiver and the DV-444 progressive scan DVD player, five acoustically-matched high performance speakers, and a tall powered subwoofer. It is the ultimate configuration incorporating design and performance. The slim receiver incorporates: - Dolby DigitalÆ/DTSÆ/Dolby Pro LogicÆ decoders - 5-D Theater enhances the surround channels of DTS, Dolby Pro Logic, and Dolby Digital-encoded soundtracks - Advanced Theater provides realistic theatre sound to optimize different types of movies - TV Surround creates 5.1-channel surround from mono sources - Game Surround mode increases the sonic reality of action games - TruSuroundô by SRSÆ utilizes sophisticated DSPs to create a rear-channel soundfield from two front speakers - Headphone Surround and Midnight Listening mode gives the consumer the ability to experience the full impact of surround effects without disturbing others - Preset tone controls including auto speaker detection and one-touch room setup All of these capabilities are included in a receiver that is slim and sophisticated yet technologically advanced enough to rival full size component receivers. The slim DVD-Video player boasts DVD-Video/CD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3 playback capabilities utilizing 192 kHz/24 bit Burr-Brown audio DACs for precision audio performance. The DV-444 offers unrivaled video performance with a 10-bit video DAC and digital progressive output. All of this technology is presented along with five, cosmetically matched, all aluminum satellite speakers and subwoofer that will blend nicely into any room decor, providing the richest of listening experiences. The HTS-910DV speaker package was designed and built by the American Speaker Design group, the engineers behind both the well-received Pioneer Elite Reference loudspeakers and the affordably priced Pioneer ISO-Drive speaker line. Each of the five satellite speakers is powered by a 35-watt (RMS) five-channel amplifier, while a 100-watt amplifier drives the subwoofer. A comprehensive home theatre system that fits just about anywhere, the HTZ-77DV consists of a DVD/CD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3 compatible player with six-mode DSP (Hall 1, Hall 2, Jazz, Dance, Theater 1, Theater 2, and Simulated Stereo), Advanced Theater (Musical, Drama, Action, Virtual Surround, Rear Wide), Midnight Mode, a Dolby DigitalÆ/DTSÆ decoder, an AM/FM tuner, five satellite speakers, a powered subwoofer, and a pre-programmed/learning remote control. The speakers and crossovers of the HTZ-77DV were engineered to provide a robust sound to fill a room, from a small speaker that can be easily blended into the surrounding environment. Each of the five satellite speakers is powered by a 30-watt amplifier, while a 50-watt amplifier drives the subwoofer. All amplification is contained in the subwoofer, making speaker connections easy. To make a great system even better, Pioneer created an independent display, allowing the consumer to hide everything but the display and speakers. Rounding out the DVD-based Pioneer life-oriented products and adding multi-disc functionality is the HTD-510DV, a five-disc DVD/CD/CDR changer with integrated digital receiver. This all-in-one device makes it simple to connect multiple units together to experience home theatre. High-powered large front speakers, a subwoofer, center channel and surround speakers accompany the HTD-510DV. This stylish component provides easy-to-use CD mode and disc exchange, allowing multi-function versatility. The HTD-510DV also includes a wireless pre-programmed remote control, color-coded speaker wire and connection terminals, and a convenient installation guide for easy set-up and basic operating instructions. Adding to Pioneer's core home-theatre-in-a-box line is the HTP-710, anchored by Pioneer's VSX-D810S. This receiver comes equipped with 6-D Theater and DTS-ES compatibility for processing 6.1-encoded DVDs, six 100-watt amplifiers, six-channel Accurate Imaging System, 7.1-channel inputs, digital noise reduction for all channels, seven DSP modes, component video switching, and a smart remote. The VSX-D810S receiver also features Pioneer's exclusive Midnight Mode and the newly introduced Expanded Theater Mode. Midnight Mode allows consumers to enjoy all of the fidelity and clarity of any surround format at a lower volume level than normal so as not to awaken or disturb everyone in the house. Expanded Theater greatly improves the front/rear soundstage of any Dolby Digital/DTS/Pro Logic-encoded material. For future expandability, three digital inputs (two optical and one coaxial) are provided on the VSX-D810S receiver. Wrapping up the home-theatre-in-a-box line is the HTP-210. The heart of the HTP-210 is the VSX-D510 audio/video receiver, equipped with Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic, and DTS decoding, as well as five 100-watt amplifiers and a 5.1-channel input. This A/V receiver also features Pioneer's exclusive Midnight Mode, Advanced Theater Mode, and six DSP modes. For future expandability, three digital inputs (two optical and one coaxial) are provided on the receiver. To compliment the five full-range satellite speakers, a 100-watt, eight inch powered subwoofer is packaged with the HTP-210. For consumers encountering a multichannel sound system for the first time, ease of installation is extremely important. With that in mind, Pioneer has included a one-page installation guide for the HTP-710 and HTP-210 that details setup procedures. All of the provided speaker cables are color-coded.For more information about Pioneer Corporation, visit www.pioneerelectronics.com.
