The designs utilize new technology, exotic raw materials and five decades of engineering experience.Featuring unique dual-stacked 8-inch woofers, the slim profile cabinet may be easily placed or hidden within the listening environment. Powered by a robust 200-watt (RMS) discrete amplifier, the RL-28W delivers bass via two front-firing 8-inch EX+ô Extended Throw woofers mounted on Cerwin-Vegaís trademark cast aluminum frames. The RL-28W powered subwoofer features continuously variable output and crossover controls, providing adjustable volume level and frequency coverage, facilitating precise sound matching to other components. Regardless of the subwooferís placement within a room, overall system coherency is ensured via 180 degree phase switching. The magnetically-shielded RL-28W accommodates both line-level and speaker-level input/output signals, and operates on 115-volt to 230-volt systems (user-switchable).The Cerwin-Vega RL-28W frequency response measures 35 Hz to 120 Hz (+/-2 dB). The cabinet measures 23 3/4 inches high, 10 inches wide and 22 inches deep, and weighs 50 lbs.
