Dream Vision Acquires Davis Technology

10-Aug-01

In a document dated August 2, 2001, Davis AS of Drammen, Norway has formally announced the transfer of all product rights and technology developed by Davis to T.E.C. SA (Dream Vision) of Paris. Krongsberg Gruppen (parent of Davis) had previously announced its abandonment of all future investment in Davis, which will continue only to service and maintain products previously delivered. This exciting news has vaulted Dream Vision into an enviable position as one of the few companies in the world developing new front projector technology. Jean-Claude Younes, President of Dream Vision, has hired some of the principal engineers from Davis and has established a new engineering division to ensure a smooth transition and to expedite the realization of new technology, including the state-of-the-art Cinema Ten Pro projector (featuring a six-segment color wheel), which premiered at CeBIT and at the Home Entertainment Show in New York last May. Dream Vision will continue to market its existing series of four DLPô projectors (Lighty, DL500, Movie Star and Movie Star+), Revolution Series plasma televisions and the Dream Scaler. Visit Dream Vision at booth #512 at CEDIA EXPO 2001. For more information, visit www.dreamvision.net.
