The Karat M 30 DC is a very attractive speaker, finished in real wood veneers of beech, cherry or black ash, and is designed to mount on a shelf or pedestal. The side-mounted woofer is a true innovation in this class of speakers, by providing exceptional low frequency reproduction with an overload tolerance comparable to small floor-standing systems. With the 8-inch woofer mounted on the side, the speaker presents an extremely narrow face. The bass reflex enclosure offers exceptional bass response down to 25 Hz. The 6-inch aluminum midrange cone offers exceptional clarity, detail and power handling in the important 180 Hz to 3.2 kHz frequency range. This light, stiff material ensures a high pulse velocity, improves the efficiency and provides excellent overload tolerance. Canton's legendary concave aluminum-manganese tweeter membrane provides extended treble response to 30 kHz, well beyond that of most other tweeters.
