Panamax Introduces the MAX 5300 and MAX 5100

A New Generation Of A/V Components With Superior Noise Filtration And Line Conditioning Offering Innovative Noise Filtration Designed For Analog, Digital And High Current Components

4-Sep-01

Panamax introduces the new MAXÆ 5300 and MAX 5100 A/V Component Series for audio/video and home theatre systems. These replacement products for the MAX 1500 and MAX 1000+ are designed to reduce ""noise within a system"" and improve the line conditioning. Panamax has engineered the filtration circuitry for the new components using the three independent banks: ""Inductorless"" -- One bank of filtration circuitry for high current draw equipment requiring no impedance (MAX 5300, MAX 5100) ""Balanced Double L"" -- Two banks of filtration circuitry with twice the capacitors and coils per outlet bank for superior noise elimination (MAX 5300) ""Balanced L"" -- Two banks of filtration circuitry that delivers clean power at an affordable price (MAX 5100) Audiophiles can choose a newly designed component to fit both the system's noise filtration requirements and budget. The MAX 5300 and MAX 5100 banks of outlets are optimized for the home theatre system's analog components, which are plugged into one bank to isolate any inherent noise from affecting the digital components, plugged into a second bank of filtered outlets, and vice versa. A third set of outlets is designed for high current components that require unrestricted power to create a movie theater audio experience in the home. Each independent bank of outlets isolates any feedback or noise from each piece of equipment plugged into that specific bank of outlets and the other outlets. Additional Features Include: The MAX 5300 features two banks of ""Balanced Double L"" noise filtration circuitry, and one bank of ""Inductorless"" filter circuitry, which eliminates EMI/RFI noise on all power paths (including line to neutral) so even equipment with a two-blade plug receives clean, uncontaminated power. One filtered bank of four ""Always On"" AC outlets is for audio/video components requiring constant power. The second filtered bank of four AC outlets has selectable turnoff delay. An additional two delayed-on AC outlets is for high current components such as amplifiers and powered subwoofers, providing clean, filtered power without limiting the current available to the connected equipment. A front convenience outlet adds to the ten AC outlets on the back for a total of 11 outlets. Other features include a dimmable analog voltmeter, adjustable sequential delay start-up and shutdown settings, DC voltage trigger input and pass-through output, and full chassis depth. The SurgeGateô Plus circuitry is a power monitoring system that acts as a gate to prevent unsafe voltages from damaging sensitive electronic equipment. It automatically detects a prolonged over- or under-voltage condition and disconnects the power to the equipment, and then reconnects when the power returns to a safe level. Protect Or Disconnectô circuitry safeguards equipment against all surges. In the event of a catastrophic surge, such as lightning, it completely disconnects AC power to connected equipment. SignalPerfectô circuitry provides optimized line protection for two pairs of coax connectors for cable TV (CATV and HDTV), two pairs of connectors for satellite systems, and one pair of RJ-11/45 telephone jack connections. The MAX 5100 offers superior line conditioning with two banks of ""Balanced L"" noise filtration circuitry. ""Balanced Double L"" noise filtration circuitry eliminates EMI/RFI noise on all power paths. One filtered bank of four ""Always On"" AC outlets is for audio/video components requiring constant power. The second filtered bank of four AC outlets has selectable turnoff delay. An additional two delayed-on AC outlets are for high current components such as amplifiers and powered subwoofers. A front convenience outlet adds to the ten AC outlets on the back for a total of 11 outlets. Other features include a LED voltmeter with a rear panel brightness switch, adjustable sequential delay start-up and shutdown settings, DC voltage trigger input and pass-through output, and full chassis depth. The unit includes SurgeGateô Plus, Protect Or Disconnectô circuitry and SignalPerfectô circuitry surge protection. Panamax offers a three-year warranty and its $5,000,000 Connected Equipment Protection Policy for the MAX 5300 and MAX 5100. For additional information regarding Panamax, visit www.panamax.com.
