CINEPRO, leading manufacturer of high performance home and professional theatre electronics, introduces the 7.1-channel CINEPRO DTC-10 home theatre preamp/processor.This unique processor features full 7.1 processing with automatic decoding of DolbyÆ Digital and DTSÆ-ES soundtracks. The unit is also unique in its treatment of analog pass-through signals, such as DVD-Audio and SACD. Through its eight bypass analog inputs, the DTC-10 can control bass management and system volume via its state-of-the-art analog filter and control system. This eliminates the need to convert analog signals to digital, process and then reconvert back to analog for bass management and volume control. This double conversion compromises the pristine signal that high bit-encoded sources are known for. Digital inputs, such as DVD and CD are separately processed through the central Motorola DSP engine.The DTC-10 features 11 inputs, all front panel-accessible, as well as direct access via remote. Seven S-Video, seven composite video and two component video inputs are featured. All video switching is done with 500 MHz bandwidth broadcast-quality video switches for near-perfect video purity. HDTV is also passed flawlessly.The DTC-10 also includes a quality AM/FM tuner, with front panel presets, directly accessible.First-time setup is done via a PC and a rear RS-232 port.
