THX Surround EX Reaches A Significant Sales Milestone

Lucasfilm THXÆ announced the sale of nearly 300,000 units featuring the company's THX Surround EXô technology. The widespread incorporation of the program includes products from more than 23 licensees worldwide, including entries from Pioneer, Onkyo, Denon, Kenwood and others. THX introduced THX Surround EX exclusively into the home theatre market in September of 1999. Due to its overwhelming consumer demand, THX will continue licensing THX Surround EX as a prominent selling feature for its Ultra2, Ultra and Select categories.""To say that THX has succeeded with THX Surround EX is an understatement,"" said Mark Friedman, Senior Vice President, Onkyo USA.
