""Running On Nuendo"" - Steinberg Unveils the Nuendo Producer Group -Top Industry Pros Join Together to Discuss their Use of Nuendo

3-Dec-01

Steinberg North America, the leading provider of professional music and audio software, today announced the formation of the Nuendo Producer Group. The group is made up of top audio industry professionals in support of the Nuendo Media Production System. Steinberg has appointed legendary producer/engineer Greg Ladanyi as the group's liaison. The group was formed out of a common desire for a better way to make 24-bit, 96kHz 5.1 surround recordings, as well as accommodate for the future of stereo 192kHz and beyond. Nuendo has proven to be the tool of choice not only because it handles these tasks, but also gives the group a powerful new way of recording, editing, and mixing, all with unsurpassed sound quality. After completing a 24/96 5.1 remix of Jackson Browne's 1977 ""Running on Empty"", Ladanyi declared that Nuendo has changed the way he looks at producing music. ""Nuendo, sonically at 24/96, is being in the room. The flexibility of the software design lets me play Nuendo as a musical instrument. The open highs and solid bottom blew me away."" Ladanyi has since partnered with Steinberg to head the Artist Relations, Pro Audio Division, which includes the Nuendo product line. Other recent Producer Group projects include a 24/96 5.1 DVD-A remix of Queen's 1975 classic ?A Night at the Opera? by Producer of the Year Elliot Scheiner. Chuck Ainlay has employed Nuendo for work on the DVD-V of Mark Knopfler's recent tour and the DVD-A of ?Sailing to Philadelphia?. Frank Filipetti has incorporated Nuendo on the recording of a new release by Korn.
