Premiere Home Theatre Surroundings (PHTS) will introduce four new luxury home theatre seat recliner models at the 2002 CES in Las Vegas, Nevada. Renowned for its high quality, high performance, American-built theatre seating, Premiere is once again ""raising the bar"" for ergonomic design and user comfort in this fast-growing market. The four models being launched -- the Sequel, Rialto, Savoy, and Landmark -- have suggested retail prices from $1,595 to $2,995, depending on choice of fabric or leather and motorization options. Premiere HTS will be exhibiting in the new South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center in booth #22004.The top-of-the-line Sequel breaks new ground with two innovations never before available in any home theatre seating. All Sequel models will include a storage compartment in the chair arm that can hold remotes or game controls, viewing guides, or other small items. The compartment door is hinged in the back, padded on top for comfort, and covered in the same luxury leather or fabric upholstery as the rest of the chair. It can be located on either arm.""You keep asking yourself why no one had done this before,"" explained Bill Johnson, newly-appointed Vice President Of Marketing for PHTS. ""In a low-light environment like a home theatre, it makes sense to store items right in the chair, rather than on the arm or side table where they could be accidentally knocked over."" The new Sequel also scores a first with a removable, swiveling food tray. The tray features a real, high-gloss, burled walnut surface similar to the dash treatments in luxury automobiles.""We strive to deliver features that people are going to use,"" said Premiere President Michael Laurino. ""After all, comfort is not the only consideration in furniture design. Knowing how people act when using our seating is critical to bringing the right chairs, with the right features, to market.""We know people are going to eat when they're in their theatres, so the tray makes lots of sense. The steel mounting post on the tray slides into a receptacle on the chair arm and allows the tray to swivel out of the way when not in use.""A newly-designed aluminum cup holder with chrome trim is standard equipment for the Sequel and an upgrade option on other models. Standard cup holders are made of high impact plastic. The Sequel's other industry first is an adjustable back cushion. Because the chair can be positioned in so many ways, this feature ensures a perfect viewing angle every time. These innovations, along with Premiere's optional motor recline and more than 70 lush leathers and fabrics from which to choose (available on all chair models), clearly establish Premiere as a trendsetter in the home theatre seating industry. The Landmark, Rialto, and Savoy complete the new line-up. Each offers a distinctive style to match various luxury styles and decors. PHTS is also introducing redesigned versions of their original Encore and Studio models, with wider arms and improved cup holders. All PHTS models are available in a wide range of elegant fabrics and fine Italian leathers. While at CES, Premiere will also demonstrate a ""concept"" chair for dealer feedback, much like a car manufacturer tests dealer reaction to concept vehicles. For further information, visit Premiere HTS at www.premierehts.com.
