B & K Components, Ltd Introduces Whole-House Audio/Video In The CT Series

B & K Components, Ltd., manufacturer of the first American-made digital receiver, introduced the CT Series, multi-zone receivers aimed at the high-end distributed audio market. The CT Series units bring an unprecedented level of flexibility and control to multi-room audio/video distribution, by allowing for total configuration via software. The result is a high quality, one box solution for whole house control for today's automated home. Many people would love to be able to go from room to room and have their music and movies follow them, but few have the extra space or the big dollar budget required to add all those extra black boxes that can be more confusing than useful. B & K has solved these problems with the introduction of two new multi-zone receivers. The CT310 and CT610 are three- and six-zone receivers, respectively, that incorporate all the features you need to achieve whole house audio and video in just one box. Each receiver features two AM/FM tuners, three or six programmable IR inputs, and nine programmable IR outputs, and internal amplifiers that in the CT310 deliver 2 x 150 watts and 4 x 55 watts, respectively, to each channel, and in the CT610 deliver 12 x 55 watts of power to each channel. For the installer, B & K's proprietary Software Suite takes the guesswork out of installing and running a whole-house A/V system. Never before has multi-room distribution been this efficient and complete. Each zone can be configured using the software, as can all of the basic parameters and functions of the receivers. Once the installation program is opened and the configuration is set up, the program can be downloaded to the CT Series for instant operation. The CT310 and CT610 are fully compatible with keypad systems such as those available from Xantech and Vantage, and will even power them, thereby eliminating the need for external power supplies. In the end, when the installer has completed his task, all the customer sees is the seamless integration of audio and video throughout the house.
