Richard Gray's Power Company Introduces The 600S

30-Jan-02

AudioLine Source, LLP announces the addition of the new Richard Gray's Power Company Model 600S. Offering all the same benefits of the larger 1200S at a more attractive price, the 600S is perfect for the more budget conscience audio/video enthusiast with a smaller system. Like both of its predecessors (400S and 1200S) the 600S uses an ""Electric Flywheel"" effect to store and instantaneously release energy on demand, to supply current to components that are often starved for it by the resistance on a soft AC line. The benefits to video components are more vibrant colors and better black level detail for increased front-to-back dimensionality in all video formats. The benefits to audio equipment are increased dynamics, better bass response, and a more effortless presentation of the music. ""The 1200S is perfect for a full-blown, large-scale home theatre system,"" says Dick McCarthy, Managing Partner of Richard Gray's Power Company, ""but we wanted to offer a smaller version for those with a more modest system and budget."" Built with six Hubbell outlets and a 20-amp system, the 600S may be linked together with other RGPC units in a ""star-cluster array,"" to achieve even greater improvements in most systems. ""If an individual's system grows they can easily add another RGPC. Not only do they get more outlets, but also get the added benefit of greater incremental improvements with an even lower noise floor with every RGPC unit they add."" The 600S also incorporates the best surge suppression system money can buy. The 600S absorbs surges and actually protects the onboard MOV (metal oxide varister) that is set to blow only if a surge makes its way past the inductor. This ability to absorb surges can add years to the life expectancy of components. Unlike standard power line conditioners, isolation transformers, and sine wave amplifiers (regenerators), which are wired in series, the 600S is wired in parallel to the source of power and does not limit valuable current necessary to satisfy power transients required of the AC line. The MSRP of the RGPC 600S is $1,200 in anodized black, $1,300 in anodized silver. Two 600S units can be placed side by side within a Middle Atlantic rack. Richard Gray's Power Company designs, engineers and manufactures high-end audio and home theatre components that deliver cleaner power needed to boost a system's performance. The line-enhancers place components ""electrically"" closer to utility company transformers, eliminating any noise, cross talk and power drains that detract from a system's ability to accurately reproduce audio and video.
