6-Feb-02

Sound Alignment Systems (SA-S), a division of Checkpoint Laser Tools, announced that its digital Inclo-Matic DLT 675-05 was named a Finalist in TechTV's Best of CES -- Home Theater Category. TechTV judges combed the Consumer Electronics Show floor in Las Vegas to uncover the best products and most innovative gear at this year's CES. From 18,000 products, the judges narrowed their picks to 36 finalists in 12 categories, naming the DLT 675-05 as one of three Best of CES -- Home Theater products in the process. According to TechTV, many factors were considered when picking finalists: price, usefulness, reliability, and innovativeness. All finalists scored high in value and usability. ""Being named a TechTV Best of CES Finalist is truly an honor,"" said Jim Webb, owner of Sound Alignment Systems and designer of the digital Inclo-Matic 675-05. ""For the first time, sound designers and home theatre installers can get an exact visual representation of sonic, video, and lighting alignment through the marriage of our patented laser alignment technology and an easy-to-read, exact digital readout of angle in degree or percentage."" The digital Inclo-Matic DLT-675-05 is so precise, allowing A/V professionals to angle speakers, lighting fixtures, projectors and screens to exact angles. The tool enables the user to actually set components to specification to the hundredth of a degree or percent. ""At $199, the DLT-675-05 more than pays for itself in time savings of complex math calculations alone, and we are pleased that the TechTV judges recognized the efficiency and usability of the Inclo-Matic,"" continued Webb. Capable of accepting the full line of Checkpoint lenses and accessories, the DLT-675-05 additionally proves itself indispensable in quickly and accurately enabling seamless and verifiable screen to projector setups -- especially in complicated, angled ceiling installations, and when flying an array of speakers and setting each to a specific angle. ""The uses of the DLT-675-05 for home theatre as well as auditorium, staging, and concert set-ups are incalculable. The tie-in to the entire SA-S system of Angle Guides and Plot Sheets allows the installer to document -- and therefore, repeat -- the installation. This expands the functionality of the tool, and enhances the professionalism and credibility of the installer. The SA-S system approach clearly brings the professional or audiophile home user to the next level,"" Webb concluded.
