Sanibel Sound, the premier importer and distributor of high-end audio products, has introduced the Piega S4 home theatre speaker package, incorporating a pair of Piega S4 towers and an S4-C center channel, a pair of S3 satellites, and a P Sub 1 subwoofer. The six-element system from the renowned Swiss manufacturer, Piega, has a suggested retail price of $5,400.To provide the front thrust of the system, a pair of Piega S4 towers combines with the S4-C center channel. The slim 4-inch-wide S4 tower is an aluminum obelisk cabinet, enclosing a two-way bass reflex system, utilizing a pair of 3-inch cone woofers and a 1-inch cone tweeter. The speaker has a rated frequency response of 46 to 22,000 Hz, +/-3 dB. While smaller, the matching S4-C center channel speaker is also a two-way bass reflex design, and uses the same 3-inch woofer drivers and 1-inch cone tweeter as the front main towers. The consistency not only maintains aesthetic unity, but also tonal harmony and balance. The rated frequency response of the S4-C is 80 to 22,000 Hz, +/-3 dB.A pair of Piega S3 two-way satellites provides the surround channels of the S4 system. Maintaining acoustic unity, the bass reflex satellites each contain a single 3-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter. The polished aluminum cabinet also matches the front speakers to preserve the system look. Frequency response is 80 to 22,000 Hz, +/-3 dB.The final element, the P Sub 1 subwoofer, provides the low bass power to the S4 system.
