The NewsHour With Jim Lehrer And HDNet Join In International Reporting In First Co-Production

HDNet and The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer announced that they are co-producing international reports, beginning with a special report on the Mexican drug war. HDNet aired the first segment of a two-part premiere on channel 199 on DIRECTV. The second part will air at on Wednesday July 3. The NewsHour, which is broadcast weeknights on PBS, will include a separate report by correspondent Kaye. ""Given HDNet's experience in capturing stunning images in high-definition, we were delighted to collaborate on this important story and look forward to working together again on other international reports,"" says Lester M. Crystal, Executive Producer of The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.
