Onkyo has introduced the Envision Theater LSV-950, an integrated 40-watt-per-channel DVD receiver and 5.1-channel speaker system. The Envision's base unit features progressive scan component video as well as S-video and standard A/V outputs. Built-in DolbyÆ Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, and DTSÆ decoders deliver 5.1-channel audio to the included speaker/subwoofer package. The player is also compatible with CDs, CD-R/RWs, and MP3-encoded discs.The Envision Theatre features color-coded terminals and intuitive organization to help facilitate setup and operation. The receiver includes enough connections for up to 4 additional components. The unit also features a built-in FM/AM tuner with 30 presets.The included six-speaker surround system includes four two-way front and surround satellites, a two-way horizontal center channel, and a 120-watt powered subwoofer. The center channel and satellites are all equipped with 3-inch Onkyo Micro Fiber Cone woofers and ceramic tweeters for matched tonal response, and all are magnetically shielded. The Envision includes a full-function learning remote control. The Onkyo Envision Theater LS-V950 is now available with a suggested retail price of $900.
