Optoma's Home Theatre Projector Based On Single-Chip DLP Technology

Optoma Technology, Inc., announces the H55, its exclusive home theatre single-chip projector based on DLPô Technology. This projector is the first XGA, 6-1/2-pound unit to be rated with a contrast ratio of 1000:1, together with a brightness of 1,000 ANSI Lumens. The H55 is the first of Optoma's home theatre projectors. It is designed for diagonal screen sizes ranging from 28 to 305 inches with 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratios. Noise level is rated at 32 dB. Optoma's proprietary adjustable color matrix regulates reds, greens and blues independently from one another, providing for individual level adjustments. The H55 is fully DTV-compatible (480p, 720p, 1080i). The connections include dual HD inputs (component video), an RS232 communications port, and provision for the transmission of both analog and digital signals. The MSRP of the H55 is $7,995.
