The brand has made significant improvements to existing connectors and cables to insure that HDTV's audio and video signals are handled per ATSC specifications. Utilizing ultra-low capacitance Teflon dielectric insulation for 75-ohm impedance, the Vacuum Spring-Lock RCA offers a heavy-duty ground shell for evenly distributed, airtight pressure. Ultra XGA 15-Pin D-Sub Connector Ultralink's VGA-type 15-pin D-sub connector features non-magnetic brass, a low-loss dielectric, and the connector's pins made from 6N OFC (99.99998% pure laboratory-grade oxygen-free copper) and finished with military-spec 24k gold plating. Special poly-foam insulation (FPE) wraps the 6N OFC and is covered by a custom spiral shielding and then protected by a mylar coating.75-Ohm Male BNC Ultralink brings their 24k mil-spec contacts and low-capacitance Teflon dielectric to deliver 75-ohm impedance for BNC connectors. Ultralink BNCs are offered in three-cable HD component video and RGBHV cable terminations. Videophile Pro Cable Systems All Ultralink Platinum Series HD video cables are UL/CSA listed, CL-3/FT-4 rated for custom installations, and utilize double- or triple-video shielding. As with all Ultralink cables, 6N (99.99998% pure laboratory-grade) OFC conductors are utilized. Strain-Relief Light-Lock Toslink Ultralink developed their patented spring-loaded ""Light-Lock"" and strain-relief system for reliable digital optical connections.
