KEF Q Series Speakers Featuring Latest In Uni-Q Driver Technology Now Available

KEF has announced that the new Q Series of Uni-Q loudspeakers are now in full production and are being delivered to KEF's U.S. dealers through KEF America.KEF Q Series products feature Uni-Q technology, claimed to offering advantages of consistent stereo imaging and wide dispersion characteristics.The Q7 is a three-way bass reflex floor-standing system, with a 6.5-inch Uni-Q midrange/high-frequency driver incorporating KEF's new 3/4-inch metal dome tweeter (Ferrofluid-cooled), and an 8-inch KEF B169 'racetrack' format low-frequency driver. Other features include computer-designed crossovers and internal bracing. The floor-standing Q5 features the same Uni-Q driver and tweeter as the Q7, and has a 6-1/2-inch bass driver which has its own tuned enclosure and reflex port. The high order crossovers are computer-optimized, and terminals are twinned for bi-wiring or bi-amplification. The floor-standing Q3 features new Ferrofluid-cooled metal dome tweeter derived from the Reference Series unit, along with the 6.5-inch Uni-Q driver. There is a front-firing port, along with internal bracing and bi-wiring/bi-amping capability. The satellite Q1 model features the same tweeter and Uni-Q driver as for the above models. The Q9c center channel speaker has same Uni-Q array for timbre matching with the rest of the Q Series. The Q9c feature magnetically shielded drivers and bi-wiring/bi-amping capability. The Q8s, designed for the surrounds, is an acoustic suspension design, and produces diffuse, ambient effects. It is magnetically shielded and can be wall- or shelf-mounted.The Q Series speakers are available in a choice of Maple, Dark Apple, or Black Ash finishes.
