Artisan Announces ìBasic Instinctî And ìNational Lampoonís Van Wilderî For Release In D-Theaterô

Artisan Home Entertainment have announced plans to offer at least two new D-VHS D-Theaterô releases this fall. Tentatively planned for release in the coming weeks will be ìBasic Instinct,î the 1992 thriller starring Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone, and ìNational Lampoonís Van Wilder,î the 2002 comedy recently released on DVD. The SRP and street dates have not been announced yet but should be revealed soon (watch for details on this Web site and in the pages of Widescreen Review Magazine). ìVan Wilderî is scheduled to be the unrated edition (the DVD was offered in separate R-rated and unrated editions).D-VHS is currently the only high-definition consumer format available, and offers the increasing number of consumers with high-definition television displays the content they have been seeking. Created by JVC specifically for copyrighted, high-value prerecorded content, D-Theater provides a state-of-the-art level of security demanded by content providers in the digital era.
