Universal Studios Home Video has announced two new titles to be offered on the HD-Plus D-VHS D-Theater consumer format. This latest round of releases will reach stores November 19, and the titles are ìThe Bone Collector,î starring Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie, and ìSpy Gameî with Robert Redford and Brad Pitt. Suggested retail price for each title will be $44.98. Each title will be mastered in full 1080i resolution and with JVCís D-Theater copy protection system. In addition, each release will be presented in its original theatrical aspect ratio and in Dolby Digital 5.1 audio (ìThe Bone Collectorî is Dolby Digital Surround EX-encoded). No supplemental material has been scheduled to be included on either tape.The D-Theater tapes are currently available for pre-order with a price of $39.99 through the www.DVHSMovieGuide.com and www.WidescreenReview.com Web sites). D-VHS is currently the only high-definition consumer format available, and offers the increasing number of consumers with high-definition television displays the content they have been seeking.
