Eagle Vision, a division of Eagle Rock Entertainment Ltd., will release ìSoft Cell Live In Milanî on October 22.After forming Soft Cell in the UK in 1977, flamboyant frontman Marc Almond and Dave Ball, with their synth-savvy electro grooves, have been hailed as the pioneers of electronics, selling over 10 million records worldwide.Twenty years after they went their separate ways, Almond and Ball reunited for a Soft Cell 2001 tour. The studio album Cruelty With Beauty, will be released by Cooking Vinyl on October 8.Filmed at the Rolling Stone in Milan, Italy, ìSoft Cell Live In Milanî captures Almond and Ball performing faithful renditions of the groupís classics, including ìTainted Loveî and ìSay Hello Wave Goodbyeî to a sold-out audience.Bonus footage on ìSoft Cell Live In Milanî will feature an interview with Marc Almond and Dave Ball.In the 1980ís Soft Cellís blend of slinky, infectious synthesizer grooves and cabaret crooning helped launch the genre of electronic dance music.
