Samsung Electronics USA, Inc., has debut two fan-less plasma displays, the 42-inch SPL4225 and 50-inch HPL5025. They measure 3.5 inches deep and employ a fan-less heat radiation design.Jonas Tanenbaum, National Marketing Manager, Visual Display Group, Samsung Electronics USA, Inc., stated, ""Samsung is putting the same global power and push that made it number one worldwide in TFT LCD monitors, CDMA handsets, and memory chip semiconductors behind its entry into the world plasma TV market. With Samsung's new plasma factory, one of the largest in the world, online since July, Samsung is moving toward its goal of becoming a major leader in the plasma display panel (PDP) category with big plans for a 20 percent-plus world market share by 2005."" The SPL4225 is a WVGA PDP widescreen digital TV monitor, based on Samsung's Generation II Plasma module, and featuring Samsung's Digital ProPictureô digital processor. The 42-inch plasma monitor displays a screen resolution of 852 x 480, and a rated 600:1 contrast ratio. This display also features Samsung's anti-reflection filter.
