HDMI Licensing, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Silicon Image, Inc., and will be responsible for administering the licensing and interoperability efforts for the HDMI Specification. These efforts include monitoring interoperability and compliance among HDMI systems, as well as promoting HDMI technology. The HDMI Adopter Agreement details the specific HDMI licensing terms. These terms include an annual fee assessed to all adopters and royalties associated with consumer devices such as DVD players, set-top boxes, digital TVs, D-VHS players, A/V receivers, personal computers, and monitors.
