i-O Display Systems Introduces High-Resolution i-glasses HRV

i-O Display Systems, LLC has introduced i-glasses HRV, the first head-mounted display system that offers video resolution higher than a standard television. The new i-glasses HRV uses two 800 x 600 resolution micro-displays and features Faroudja resolution doubling technology. i-glasses HRV, compatible with VCRs, DVD players, game consoles, and many camcorders, is the first consumer-priced video head-mounted display to produce the ""virtual theater"" effect of a high-definition television (HDTV). i-glasses HRV are a lightweight (8 ounces) pair of glasses with tiny embedded liquid crystal displays and an advanced optical design based on the display technology used in modern fighter jets. When connected to a video source, i-glasses HRV create the illusion of a 55-inch screen floating in front of the viewer. i-glasses HRV are available with over-the-ear headphones.
