German broadcaster ProSieben was the first company to start movie transmissions in the format. Since then the number of DVB broadcasters offering Dolby Digital has reached 12; these include ABC, Nine Network and Network 10 (Australia), ORF (Austria), ExpressVU (Canada), ProSieben and Premiere (Germany), Skylife (Korea), TVN (Poland), Bell Teleclub (Switzerland), BSkyB (UK), and EchoStar (United States). Between them, 56 channels are available showing a range of TV programming in Dolby Digital including movies, dramas, documentaries, light entertainment, concerts, and live events. Extensive DVB-T terrestrial trials with Dolby Digital have been conducted in several other countries including two recent trials in France.Dolby Digital is also the standard audio format for ATSC and U.S. digital cable services.
