The Theater Digital Virtual Interactive Surround Processor (ViSP) is the latest offering from the design team that created the Acurus Act 3. Introduced in 1997, the Act 3 was the industry's first auto-switching surround decoder. The digital input section utilizes a proprietary input conditioning and jitter reduction circuit to provide accurate signal clocking to the DSP decoder. The new Motorola DSP50367/150 utilizes a new ""dual-mode"" processing algorithm to give output signals an equivalent of 48-bit resolution. This, coupled to 192 kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converters, makes the ViSP a true high-fidelity audio preamplifier.
