The CSC-1600HD from TV One is a high-performance video scaler for upconverting composite, S-video, or component video to high-resolution computer and HDTV resolutions. The output is selectable as VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA, WXGA, 1365 x 768, 720p, or 1080i resolutions in RGBHV format, and as 480p or 576p in YPbPr format. The output signal can be routed to either an 15-pin D-sub (VGA) or five BNC connectors. It is suited for use with fixed-pixel and CRT direct-view displays, and front and rear projectors. Adjustments are provided for color saturation, hue, brightness, contrast and sharpness. There is also a computer signal pass-through feature that can accommodate RGBHV or YPbPr formats. The CSC-1600HD's Adaptive Film Mode is an automatic 3:2 pull-down detector that provides deinterlaced video from film-based source material. A Vertical Temporal Filter removes jagged edges and other deinterlacing artifacts for video motion sequences, and motion compensation circuitry offers a smooth presentation of fast moving images. The unit automatically detects a wide variety of NTSC, PAL, and SECAM input standards. The CSC-1600HD can be controlled from the front panel, via its infrared remote control, or by RS-232. The navigation menu is shown via an on-screen display to facilitate operational control. The OSD may be disabled when desired, such as during live events. The front panel buttons may be locked out to prevent accidental or unauthorized adjustment of the controls. The CSC-1600HD is now available for delivery in desktop and rack mount versions for $1,275 MSRP. For more information, visit www.tvone.com.
