Two dedicated horizontal center channel speakers and two powered subwoofers complete the matching collection for multichannel installations. The SCM35 is a new high-performance, three-way loudspeaker system. Designed for high-performance domestic installations in either stereo or multichannel, it is suitable for amplifiers of 50-300 watts per channel, and is capable of maximum continuous SPL of 112 dB. The SCM35's soft-domed, Neodymium magnet, high-frequency tweeter provides response to beyond 20 kHz. The midrange is delivered from a version of the famous ATC soft-dome 3-inch transducer.A new 8-inch bass driver has been developed for this speaker, featuring ATC's short voice coil in an 18mm-long magnetic gap. The sealed box enclosure design and 12 dB bass roll-off yield useful bass information well below 48 Hz. This new driver also features a large dust cap for additional mechanical stability at high SPLs demanded by modern musical and soundtrack recordings. The heavy-duty crossover comprises close-tolerance air-cord inductors, metallized polypropylene capacitors, and ceramic wire-wound resistors. The SCM35 is tri-wire-capable.The SCM35 provides a coherent flat response with an 80-degree horizontal dispersion. The 9 x 35-1/2 x 11-3/4 (WHD inches) internally braced cabinet is available in real Cherry Wood veneer or other real-wood finishes, and Professional and Piano Black, to special order. The SCM35 is supplied complete with high-technology, stable, non-resonant plinths for maximum stability and floor coupling. The SCM35 is backed by a six-year warranty.
