Runco has introduced four new additions to its projector lineup, based on Texas Instruments' Digital Light Processingô (DLPô) technology. The new Reflectionô Series CL-710 and CL-510 and long-throw models CL-710LT and CL-510LT incorporate Runco's new GEN 3 technology, engineered to make more efficient use of optical light engine design. Runco has implemented a host of advancements into this new engine to take full advantage of TI's latest HD2 16:9 high-definition DMDô chip.Among the advances are a sophisticated color balancing system developed by Runco. The CL-710/CL-710LT boasts light output of up to 18.1 fL (1000 ANSI lumens) and a contrast ratio of 1,800:1. The entry-level CL-510/CL-510LT delivers 17.8 fL (900 ANSI lumens) of light output and a contrast ratio of 1,700:1.The CL-710/710LT and CL-510/510LT include integrated video processing/scaling that incorporates 3:2 pull-down compensation, and all models include electronic keystone correction, and discrete IR and RS-232 control. These models also use professional-grade lens optics with variable throw distances. The CL-710 offers a variable throw distance of 1.4:1 to 1.6:1, while the CL-710LT provides a longer variable throw distance of 1.85:1 to 2.4:1. The CL-510 offers variable throws of 1.75 to 2.0, and the CL-510LT provides 2.3 to 3.0 (times the width of the screen.)""Today's home theatre rooms come in all different shapes and sizes. By offering multiple lens options on both the CL-510 and CL-710, Runco provides installers and end users more flexibility in projector installation and mounting options,"" said Ben Jamison, Runco's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The CL-710 has an MSRP of $9,995, and the CL-710LT is priced at $10,995. The CL-510 has an MSRP of $5,995, and the CL-510LT is priced at $6,995. All models are currently shipping.
