InFocus Introduces Screenplay 5700 Featuring Matterhorn DLP Technology

InFocusÆ Corporation (NASDAQ: INFS, OSE: IFC) has launched their new ScreenPlayô 5700, a sub-$5,000 home theatre projector the latest and most advanced technology from both Texas Instruments and Faroudja. The ScreenPlay 5700 is the first home projector to ship with the Matterhorn DLPô technology from Texas Instruments, which provides native 16:9 resolution. The ScreenPlay 5700 has a rated 1,000 lumens light output and a 1,400:1 contrast ratio. Calibrated to D65 color mastering standards, the projector can display 16.7 million colors simultaneously. There are eight selectable video sources and the Matterhorn DLP technology native 16:9 resolution (1024 x 576). The new DCDiô from Faroudja offers color and sharpness enhancements, noise reduction, and a videophile-grade scaler.
