DH Labs, Inc. has introduced the Power Plus Reference Series AC power cord. The Power Plus is constructed with high-purity copper for improved conductivity of the electrical signal, and uses noise-canceling geometries to cancel intra-conductor interactions that can create noise and interference that is then passed on to the components. This noise is sometimes referred to as ""hash"" and manifests itself as a low-level hiss or hum through speakers and/or hum bars in the video display. The magnetic field that is generated as current flows through a conductor creates this distortion as it comes into close proximity to A/V components. The Power Plus AC power cord's design is said to lower overall system noise, thereby improving the system's performance. The Power Plus features two 12-gauge conductors, and a 12-gauge ground, and is wrapped in a custom insulation that is claimed to reduces coloration and improve overall sonic transparency. The MSRP of the Power Plus Reference Series power cord is $200 for 2 meters. For more information about DH Labs, Inc, visit www.silversonic.com.
