JVC will launch a promotional program for its high-definition products with a series of in-store events promoting its HD Universe and a rebate on purchases of JVC high-definition product packages.Both activities kick off in October. The in-store demonstrations will be staged in 10 major markets and are designed to educate consumers about JVC high-definition products, and specifically the JVC HD Universe--JVC's position as the only company that currently offers consumers the ability to create, play, archive, and display high-definition content.The ""Build Your Own HD Universe"" rebate program, which runs from October 1, 2003 through January 31, 2004, offers consumers significant rebates on four different JVC HD product packages:- Buy a qualified JVC HDTV and D-VHS deck and get a $300 mail-in rebate- Buy the JVC GR-HD1 HD camcorder and a JVC D-VHS deck and get a $400 mail-in rebate- Buy the GR-HD1 HD camcorder and a qualified JVC HDTV and get a $500 mail-in rebate- Buy the GR-HD1 HD camcorder, a qualified JVC HDTV and D-VHS deck and get a $700 mail-in rebate""These two programs pack a lot of promotional power into the fourth quarter and reflect JVC's commitment to leadership in the HD category,"" said Dave Owen, General Manager, Video Division, JVC Company of America.
