Samsung Electronics Announces First 100-Hour DirecTV DVR

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. announced their first digital video recorder (DVR) with the new DirecTVÆ DVR with TiVoÆ recorder, the SIR-S4120R, with a 120 GB hard drive, capable of storing up to 100 hours of programming. While recording is taking place, any event can be ""paused"" for an unexpected break for up to 30 minutes. There are rewind, instant replay, and slow-motion playback features, as well as dual TV tuners which allow users to record two shows at the same time or watch one show while recording another.
